چکیده

In recent years, unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) have received notable attention because of their many advantages in civilian and military applications. To improve the autonomy of USVs, this paper describes a complete automatic navigation system (ANS) with a path planning subsystem (PPS) and collision avoidance subsystem (CAS). The PPS based on the dynamic domain tunable fast marching square (DTFMS) method is able to build an environment model from a real electronic chart, where both static and dynamic obstacles are well represented. By adjusting the Saturation, the generated path can be changed according to the requirements for security and path length. Then it is used as a guidance trajectory for the CAS through a dynamic target point. In the CAS, according to finite control set model predictive control (FCS-MPC) theory, a collision avoidance control algorithm is developed to track trajectory and avoid collision based on a three-degree of freedom (DOF) planar motion model of USV. Its target point and security evaluation come from the planned path and environmental model of the PPS. Moreover, the prediction trajectory of the CAS can guide changes in the dynamic domain model of the vessel itself. Finally, the system has been tested and validated using the situations of three types of encounters in a realistic sea environment.

GPS Jamming Detection in UAV Navigation Using Visual Odometry and HOD Trajectory Descriptor

Auto-navigating of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in the outdoor environment is performed by using the Global positioning system (GPS) receiver. The power of the GPS signal on the earth surface is very low. This can affect the performance of GPS receivers in the environments contaminated with the other source of radio frequency interference (RFI). GPS jamming and spoofing are the most serious a...

Aiaa 2006-6504 Boom and Receptacle Au- Tonomous Air Refueling Using a Visual Pressure Snake Opti- Cal Sensor

Autonomous in-flight air refueling is an important capability for the future deployment of unmanned air vehicles, since they will likely be ferried in flight to overseas theaters of operation instead of being shipped unassembled in containers. This paper introduces a vision sensor based on active deformable contour algorithms, and a relative navigation system that enables precise and reliable b...

A Hierarchical SLAM/GPS/INS Sensor Fusion with WLFP for Flying Robo-SAR's Navigation

In this paper, we present the results of a hierarchical SLAM/GPS/INS/WLFP sensor fusion to be used in navigation system devices. Due to low quality of the inertial sensors, even a short-term GPS failure can lower the integrated navigation performance significantly. In addition, in GPS denied environments, most navigation systems need a separate assisting resource, in order to increase the avail...
